Creating areas to represent your building - KONE Destination Dispatch 3.0

To visualize the building where your elevator groups are located, you must create a representation of your building in Security Center.

1. From the home page in Config Tool, open the Area view task.
2. Create an area to represent your building.
3. Create an area to represent each floor in your building.
   NOTE: Each floor should be a child entity of the area that represents your building.
4. For each reader you want to use with the plugin, add and configure a door where the reader is located in the building.For each reader you want to use with the plugin, add and configure a door where the reader is located in the building. For more information on creating doors, consult the Security Center Administration Guide.
   NOTE: A door is required if you want to register a reader from an access control unit and apply access rules to it. The door represents a kiosk with an associated reader that can be monitored.
5. Add floor markings to each floor.
6. Add kiosks to floor markings.
   
7. Add cameras to kiosks.
8. Assign access rules to cardholders and cardholder groups so they can access floors.
