You can create a credential, configure its properties, and assign it to a cardholder or visitor, using the Credentials tab of the Security Center Web Client.

What you should know

  • Automatic entry (badge scanning) and license plate entry are not supported by the Web Client.
  • For more information on configuring credentials in Security Desk, see Creating credentials.
  • You can also create credentials when creating or editing cardholders and visitors.

Procedure

  1. Log on to Web Client.
  2. From the main menu, select the Access configuration task.
  3. Select the Credentials tab.
  4. Click New ().
  5. Enter the information for the credential.
    1. Select one of the following options:
      Manual entry
      Manually enter the card data. Use this method when you do not have a card reader near you.
      IMPORTANT: Card formats FASC-N 75 bits and FASC-N 200 bits are not supported.
      PIN
      Create a PIN credential.
      IMPORTANT: Once you create a PIN credential, it cannot be modified.
  6. Click Save.
