For Mercury controller integration, the Mercury controllers are called interface modules because they connect the downstream panels (MR50, MR52, and so on) to the Synergis™ unit.

Mercury EP, LP, M5-IC, and M5-ICS controllers communicate directly with the Synergis™ unit.

Visit the Genetec™ Resource center for the datasheets of the supported Mercury devices.

Synergis™ Softwire 11.2 supports the following Mercury devices:
Model Description Minimum compatible versions
EP1501 and LP1501 IP controller that natively supports up to 2 readers and 1 opening. Using on-board OSDP, device controls 1 door and up to 2 OSDP multi-dropped readers. When not using on-board OSDP reader, device can expand to support up to 17 readers and openings in total.

1 When using inputs on the F2F reader or inputs from the interface reader ports, the odd numbered inputs shown in Config Tool are used for REX, and the even numbered inputs are used for door contacts.

2 Together, the M5-IC and the M5-2K replace the Casi M2000 enclosure circuit board. There are up to eight enclosures per M5-IC: the first enclosure has one M5-IC plus one M5-2K, and the next seven enclosures have one M5-COM plus one M5-2K.

On an M5-IC with an M5-2K board, inputs 1 to 8 are virtual F2F inputs and outputs 1 to 4 are virtual F2F outputs. Inputs 9 to 18 are physical inputs on the board, and outputs 5 to 12 are relays.

3 Digital outputs (solid state switches).

4 Used for downstream communication with add-on enclosures with no M5-IC.

5 MS-ACS boards consume two addresses. If the DIP switch settings are set to 0 and 2 with 2 MS-ACS boards connected on the ribbon bus of the MS-ICS, then addresses 0 to 4 are used, and cannot be re-used by other downstream MS or MR boards.
