If you need to add a new user under your Windows domain, you can create the user in Active Directory.

Before you begin

Open the Server Manager application and navigate to the Active Directory Users and Computers window.

Procedure

  1. From the Active Directory Users and Computers window, right click the Users folder.
  2. Select New > User.
  3. In the New Object - User window, complete the following required fields:
    First name
    Last name
    User logon name
    The user ID associated with their site address.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Create password.
  6. Select desired password configuration settings.
    User must change password at next logon
    When the user logs on to their system, they must create their own password.
    User cannot change password
    The user cannot change their password from their system.
    Password never expires
    The user's password does not need to be changed after a certain period.
    Account is disabled
    The user's account is disabled and the user is denied access to the system.
  7. Click Next.
    A summary of the user's configuration is displayed.
  8. Click Finish.
