The ASSA ABLOY ARX plugin integrates ASSA ABLOY ARX systems into Security Center, using the ARX plugin role.

The connection between Security Center and the ARX system is done over Ethernet. The plugin role sends events, reports them live in Security Desk, and logs them in a database for future reporting. The plugin role also relays user commands such as Unlocking a door to the ARX server.

To connect to the ARX server, the user has the option to choose between HTTP or HTTPS. This can be set up directly from the plugin role Properties section.

Upon initial connection, the plugin role will send a request to the ARX server and import every ARX entity into Security Center. The following entities will be imported:
  • person
  • access categories
  • credentials
  • doors
  • areas
  • controllers
  • inputs

Every time an entity is modified in the ARX system, a notification is sent to the ARX plugin in Security Center. This results in an update and synchronization of the corresponding entity in Security Center.
