You can use the AutoVu™ ALPR Report Activity Trails task in Security Desk to extract activity trails from user-generated Hits reports and Reads reports.
Before you begin
Procedure
- From the Security Desk homepage, open the ALPR Report Activity Trails task.

Set up the query filters for the report. Choose from one or more of the following
filters:
- Report type
- You can include Reads reports and Hits reports in the search.
- Contains
- You can filter for any text that appears in the reports, for example, the plate number, or the user who ran the report.
- Time range
- You can specify the time range for the search.

Click Generate report. The results are listed in the report
pane.
In the following example, the search is for all Reads reports and Hits reports in the last day that include the word case.The following information is included in the ALPR Report Activity Trails report:
- Report type
- Indicates whether the report was a Reads reports or a Hits report.
- User
- The Security Desk user that generated the Reads report or Hits report.
- Date
- The generation timestamp for the Reads report or Hits report.
- ALPR units
- The camera unit or patrol vehicle that initiated the license plate read.
- License plate
- The full or partial license plate that was searched for.
- Event timestamp
- The time range that was used in the Reads report or Hits report.
- Reason
- The reason given when the Reads report or
Hits report was generated.NOTE: This column displays information if Require reason when generating ALPR report is enabled in Config Tool. For more information, see the General settings view for ALPR tasks in the Security Center Administrator Guide.
- Results
- The number of results returned in the Reads report or Hits report.
