You notice that the Plugin role icon is yellow or red. To help you troubleshoot the various issues, learn about their possible causes and their respective solutions.
The following error messages might appear in the plugin’s diagnostic window. You open
the diagnostic window by right-clicking the plugin, and then selecting .

| An unexpected error happened while trying to retrieve the cameras from the system. | Make sure the directory is not in a warning state, and that you have at least one healthy ALPR Manager role with cameras. |
| The list of IDs for the cameras contains invalid UUIDs. | […] contains invalid UUIDs |
| Time range is invalid. | From/To arguments are invalid |
| Outside of the valid scope. | The time range requested is higher than the maximum supported. |
| Take cannot be negative values. | The argument Take cannot be negative. |
| Take cannot be more than 1000, so the system has enough resources to return images. | The argument Take is limited to 1000, so the system has enough resources to return images. |
| Continuation token cannot be before from argument. | The argument Continuation token is used by the pagination. It cannot logically be before the from argument (as from is the beginning of the time range). |
| The license plate must not be empty. | If the search by license plate is requested, the provided license plate cannot be empty. |
| The license plate contains non-alphanumeric characters. | The license plate can only contain alphanumeric characters ([a-zA-Z0-9]), and cannot be longer than 12 characters. |
| The geolocation filter is invalid. | The geolocation filter provided in the geo-search request needs to respect the API definition. |
| An unexpected error happened while trying to search for the reads. | The error comes from the server and is most likely due to a problem with the data in the system. Logs from the plugin and the ALPR Manager role need to be consulted to find the actual error. |
