To add functionality to the SharpZ3 system, you can install up to three expansion modules in the base unit.
Expansion modules give the system the flexibility to be configured for the
requirements of different applications. For example, you can configure your parking
enforcement and law enforcement patrol vehicles with different camera configurations or add
precise positioning to the system.
Tip: You can install any SharpZ3 expansion module in any base unit expansion
module slot, however certain slots are preconfigured for certain modules. Installing a
module in the correct slots can eliminate certain manual configuration
steps. For more information, see Default SharpZ3 expansion module configurations.
The following
SharpZ3 expansion modules are available:
- Navigation expansion module
- Adds precise positioning to the SharpZ3 system.
- AUX PoE expansion module
- Connect wheel-imaging cameras or other PoE devices in the vehicle.
