Using the Parking Occupancy task, you can generate a graphical report that shows the occupancy information for one or more parking zones. This task gives you an overview of occupancy trends, shows the number of vehicles in each zone, and shows the number of violations over a configurable time range.

Before you begin

Ensure that the Parking Occupancy privilege is enabled for your user.

Procedure

  1. In Security Desk, open the Parking Occupancy task.
  2. From the Parking zone list, select one or more parking zones to include in the graph.
  3. Select a time range for the graph. You can select a preset time period or you can define your own range.
  4. Configure what information is included in the graph and how the information is displayed.
    • Display either the parking occupancy or the parking violations for the parking zone.
    • Display the information on the vertical axis as either a percentage or as the total number of vehicles in the parking zone.
  5. (Optional) Select Auto refresh to turn the static report into a dynamic live dashboard that shows you the current statistics for each zone.
NOTE: The data is updated every minute.
  6. Click Generate Report.
Tip: If the report displays a maximum of two parking zones, you can move your mouse pointer over the line graph to display occupancy details for a specific point in time.
