Using the Multi-tenant overage task, you can generate a report to view parking overages for all tenants in your AutoVu™ Free-Flow Multi-tenant parking zones. This task shows an overview of daily parking occupancy data for each tenant, number of instances where a tenant has used more than the allocated spots, and overage session details.

Before you begin

  • Ensure that the Multi-tenant overage privilege is enabled for your user.

What you should know

A sample multi-tenant overage report displaying parking usage and overage.

The Multi-tenant overage report task displays the following information for each tenant in a given parking zone:

  • Peak overage: Highest number of vehicles using the parking lot simultaneously for the day, regardless of the number of allocated spots.
  • Peak overage time: When the first instance of peak overage for the day occurred for each tenant.
  • Total overages: The total number of vehicles that entered the parking lot after the allocated parking space for the tenant was at full capacity.

Procedure

  1. In Security Desk, open the Multi-tenant overage task.
  2. Set a time range for the report. You can select from a preset range or click Specific range to define your own time range.
  3. Select the required parking zone from the drop-down.
  4. (Optional) Select only show overage data to view only overage sessions.
  5. Select the tenants you want to monitor.
  6. Click Generate report.
The usage sessions for the selected tenants are displayed in the report pane.
  7. In the report pane, click a row to view the parking overage details in the Details grid:
    1. To view the overage sessions for a specific date, select the appropriate overage session from the drop-down in the Details grid.
    2. To view occupancy details for a specific license plate, click and enter the license plate number.
  8. Click to export the report:
    1. Enter or browse to the path of the folder.
    2. Select the details that you want to export:
      • Main grid: The summarized report of the parking occupancy and overages for all tenants.
      • Details grid: The detailed report of overage instances for a specific tenant. Select All details to export all the overage sessions for a tenant or select Selected details to export the overages of a specific date for a tenant.
NOTE: You cannot cancel a report generation that is in progress.
The CSV file is exported to the location configured in the browser. The naming format of the exported file depends on the details that are exported:
    • Main grid: Overage_{parkingName}_{From}_{To}.csv. For example, if you export overage sessions for all tenants in parking zone A for the month of May 2023, the csv file name is Overage_Parking Zone A_2023-05-1_2023-05-31.csv.
    • Details grid: Overage_{parkingName}_{tenantName}_{Day}_Timestamp_{sessionIndex}.csv (where sessionIndex = place in the list of overage sessions). For example, if you export the details grid of tenant 1 in parking zone A for May 10 2023, the csv file name is Overage_Parking Zone A_Tenant A1_2023-03-13_14-01-35_1.csv.
NOTE: The exported file includes a column that indicates if an entry is an overage session.
