If the vehicle engine is off and the AutoVu™ system is running solely on vehicle battery power, the system will shut down if battery voltage falls below a typical voltage of 11V (10.4V detected at the AutoVu™ Mobility Kit power input terminals).
This situation can occur if the AutoVu™ Mobility Kit
Power button is ON and the system is either hardwired or supplied
by a permanent-powered cigarette lighter socket.
NOTE: After an auto shutdown, the Power
LED on the connection panel will stay ON, but further power
drain is minimal (less than 10 mA).
Following auto shutdown, the AutoVu™ system will not start up until it detects a voltage greater than 11.7V. When the car engine is running again, the voltage will typically immediately increase to greater than 12.6V, which will allow the AutoVu™ system to power up again.
