To install the AutoVu™ Mobility Kit, you must connect
the cables, then mount and align the SharpZ3
cameras.
What you should know
The
AutoVu™ Mobility Kit is typically installed in
the vehicle's trunk and can be installed vertically or horizontally. Consider the
following when selecting a location for its installation:
- Ensure that the AutoVu™ Mobility Kit and wire
connectors are protected from impacting the trunk wall or other items in the
trunk.
- Do not block the air intake or exhaust vents.
- The AutoVu™ Mobility Kit must be secured.
Suggested securing methods include anchors, straps, or hook-and-loop strips (not
included).
Procedure

Run the cables.

Connect the cables.

Mount the SharpZ3 cameras on the trunk
or roof of the vehicle using the provided magnetic mounts.
WARNING: The magnetic mounts include a lip used for securing the
camera to the trunk. For roof installations, take off this lip by removing
the two hex bolts.
WARNING: Do not remove the silicone boots covering the magnets.

responsible for scratches to the vehicle’s paint caused by contact with bare
magnets.

Align the
cameras.

To simplify future installations, do the following:

Mark the location of the magnetic camera mounts on the roof or trunk
using tape or a marker.

Label the cameras using the provided stickers (for example,
front-right, rear-left).

Label the camera connections on the connection panel to match the
labels on the cameras.
