For outdoor SharpV installations, to minimize motion blur in the context image, you must adjust the context camera exposure according to the typical speed of traffic being monitored.
Before you begin
- Adjust the zoom and focus of the camera.
What you should know
- The SharpV context camera exposure is automatically adjusted according to current light levels. In low light conditions when the exposure is long, a fast-moving vehicle that crosses the camera's field of view appears blurry. To reduce the amount of motion blur in the context image, you must reduce the camera's maximum exposure time.
- In the following example, the entire image is blurry, indicating that the issue is
camera focus. For more information, see Calibrating the zoom and focus for SharpV cameras.
- In the following example, only the vehicle is blurry, indicating that the issue is
motion blur due to long camera exposure.
