Locked perspective templates can be used as the basis for other templates.

Before you begin

You must be granted the Save perspectives as copy user privileges.

What you should know

Using perspective templates can accelerate the process of creating a Perspective. Sometimes, you need to add more Decorators to the template. If the template is locked, you cannot modify it. However, you can make a copy of a locked perspective template and modify that Perspective.

Procedure

  1. From the Security Desk home page, open the Barco CMS task.
  2. In the Barco tab, make sure you are in Tree view by moving the slider from List to Tree.
  3. Select a Perspective.
  4. Click Save as copy.
  5. Change the name of the perspective template.
  6. Edit the perspective template as desired.
  7. Click Apply.
