You can retrieve configured users from the Bosch intrusion panel, and then map them to cardholders in Security Center.

Before you begin

  • Make sure you are granted the View intrusion detection unit users and Modify intrusion detection unit users privileges.
  • Create cardholders.
NOTE: If the panel uses a firmware version earlier than 3.10.034, each cardholder must have at least one PIN credential.

What you should know

  • This feature is only supported on Bosch B series and G series intrusion panels in Mode 2. GV4 v2 panels do not support this feature.
  • Only intrusion panel users configured with at least one authority level greater than zero can be retrieved from the panel.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Intrusion detection task.
  2. Expand the Intrusion Manager role from the entity browser, and select the intrusion detection unit you want to configure.
  3. Click the Users tab.
  4. In the User mappings section, click Pull from panel.
The user mappings table is now populated with the intrusion panel users, but no users are mapped to any cardholders yet.
  5. Click Map users to map all the unmapped panel users displayed in the user mappings table, and then click Apply.
NOTE: A new cardholder is created in Security Center for each intrusion panel user that does not share the same name as an existing cardholder. If an intrusion panel user is named the same as an existing cardholder, the user will be mapped to that cardholder.

Results

The Bosch intrusion panel users are now mapped to Security Center cardholders, and are displayed in the user mappings table.
