On the Peripherals page of the intrusion detection unit, you can assign logical IDs and descriptions to the inputs (points) and outputs (relays) controlled by the unit, as well as the normal contact states of the inputs.

What you should know

Input types are configured on the panel itself; the input type cannot be configured in Security Center.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Intrusion detection task.
  2. Expand the Intrusion Manager role from the entity browser, and then select the intrusion detection unit you want to configure.
  3. Click the Peripherals tab.
  4. Select an input, then click Edit the item ().
  5. In the Name field, the name of the input connected to the panel is displayed.
    For panels using Mode 2, if you change the name of the input in Security Center, the input name is changed on the panel.

  6. Enter a Logical ID for the input.
    Setting a logical ID helps you to easily identify the input in Security Center.
  7. Enter a Description for the input.
  8. In the Input's electrical contact type field, select one of the following options:
    IMPORTANT: The contact type must match the input configuration on the panel, otherwise the state of the input will not be displayed correctly in Security Center.
    Normally open
    The normal contact state of the input is open.
    Normally closed
    The normal contact state of the input is closed.
  9. Click Apply in the dialog box, and then click Apply.
  10. Select an output, then click Edit the item () at the bottom of the Peripherals page.
  11. In the Name field, the name of the output connected to the panel is displayed.
    For panels using Mode 2, if you change the name of the output in Security Center, the output name is changed on the panel.

  12. Enter a Logical ID for the output.
    Setting a logical ID helps you to easily identify the input in Security Center.
  13. Enter a Description for the output.
  14. Click Apply in the dialog box, and then click Apply.
