To receive intrusion events and alarms from the Bosch intrusion panel in Security Desk, you must configure the intrusion detection unit in Config Tool.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Intrusion detection task.
  2. Expand the Intrusion Manager role from the entity browser, and select the intrusion detection unit you want to configure.
  3. Click the Properties tab.
    IMPORTANT: The Automation protocol, IP address, Port, and Passcode fields were pre-configured when you created the intrusion detection unit. If you change these values in Config Tool, you must also change them on the panel. If you change these values on the panel, you must also change them in Config Tool.
  4. Optional: Enable a failover connection to the intrusion detection unit.
  5. To override the settings you configured at the Bosch extension level, set the toggle to Override for each setting, and then configure the following settings:
    Communication timeout
    The number of seconds the Intrusion Manager waits for the panel to respond to a request. If the timeout is reached, the intrusion detection unit is disconnected from Security Center, and then reconnected.
    Reconnection delay
    The number of seconds before Security Center tries to reconnect the intrusion detection unit after it was disconnected.
    Keep clock synchronized
    Select this option to keep the clock on the intrusion panel synchronized with the Security Center server.
    Silence alarm on disarm
    Select this option if you want the siren on the panel to stop beeping when an intrusion detection area has been disarmed from Security Desk.
  6. (Optional) To manually synchronize the intrusion panel's clock with the Security Center server, click Synchronize clock.
  7. Configure the panel to trigger intrusion alarms on intrusion detection areas.
  8. Click Apply.
