To receive intrusion events and alarms from the Bosch intrusion panel in Security Desk, you must configure the Bosch extension in Config Tool.

What you should know

The Bosch extension settings are configured at the Intrusion Manager level, and apply to all the intrusion detection units that are managed by that Intrusion Manager role. However, some of the options can be overridden for each intrusion detection unit separately.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Intrusion detection task.
  2. Select the Intrusion Manager role, click the Extensions tab, and click the Bosch page.
  3. Configure the following options:
    Communication timeout
The number of seconds the Intrusion Manager waits for the panel to respond to a request. If the timeout is reached, the intrusion detection unit is disconnected from Security Center, and then reconnected.
    Reconnection delay
The number of seconds before Security Center tries to reconnect the intrusion detection unit after it was disconnected.
    Keep clock synchronized
Select this option to keep the clock on the intrusion panel synchronized with the Security Center server.
    Silence alarm on disarm
Select this option if you want the siren on the panel to stop beeping when an intrusion detection area has been disarmed from Security Desk.
Allow alarms to be triggered on intrusion detection areas with active alarms
Select this option to allow intrusion alarms to be triggered on intrusion detection areas that currently have an active alarm. If this option is cleared, new alarms are only triggered when the previous alarm has been acknowledged.
Allow alarms to be triggered on inputs with active alarms
Select this option to allow intrusion alarms to be triggered on inputs that currently have an active alarm. If this option is cleared, new alarms are only triggered when the previous alarm has been acknowledged.
Raise input events only when area is armed
Select this option if you only want input-related events to be raised when an intrusion detection area is armed.
NOTE: Trouble state events are still raised.
    Grace period
Select the period in which events can occur while the panel is offline, so that they are treated as normal events after the panel reconnects.
Events from the panel that occurred within the Grace period are treated as normal events in Security Desk after the panel reconnects. The events appear in the event list in the Monitoring task, are recorded in the database, and event-to-actions that were set up for the event are triggered.
NOTE: The grace period starts at the beginning of the next minute. For example, if the unit goes offline at 2:05:16 pm, the grace period only starts at 2:06:00 pm.
    Alarm grace period
Select the period in which alarms can occur while the panel is offline, so that they are treated as normal alarms after the panel reconnects.

Alarms from the panel that occurred within the Alarm grace period are treated as normal alarms in Security Desk when the panel reconnects. They appear in the alarm list in the Alarm monitoring and Monitoring tasks, and are recorded in the database.

    Persistence grace period
Events and alarms from the panel that occurred within the Persistence period while the panel was offline, are only recorded in the database when the panel reconnects. Events and alarms that occur outside of the Persistence period are not recorded.
  4. Click Apply.
