To be able to use an intrusion panel in Security Center, you must create the panel as an intrusion detection unit entity in Config Tool.

Before you begin

Create an Intrusion Manager role to manage the unit.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Intrusion detection task.
  2. Click Intrusion detection unit ().
  3. In the Manual Add dialog box, configure the following:
    Intrusion Manager
This setting is only visible when there are multiple Intrusion Manager roles. Choose a role to host the intrusion detection unit.
    Partition
This setting is only visible when you select an Intrusion Manager role that has multiple partitions. Choose a partition.
    Manufacturer
    The name of the manufacturer.
    Select Bosch Map 5000
    IP address
The unique TCP/IP address of the intrusion panel.
    Port
The TCP communication port number that is configured on the intrusion panel.
    User name
The OII user account created in Bosch Remote Programming Software (RPS) .
    Password
The password for the OII user account.
    Enroll disconnected unit
Select this option to add a device that is not yet physically connected to the IP network or is connected but offline.
  4. Click Add and close.
The panel is added as an intrusion detection unit and is automatically synchronized.

Results

The intrusion detection unit is displayed under the Intrusion Manager role in the entity browser. After the unit is connected, the Intrusion Manager automatically creates the intrusion detection areas (zones and partitions), inputs (points), and outputs that are configured on the panel.
The following entities are usually added to Security Center:
  • intrusion detection unit listed under the Intrusion Manager role in the Intrusion detection task.
  • intrusion detection areas in the Area View task.
  • inputs and outputs on the intrusion detection unit's Peripherals tab.

After you finish

  • If you have multiple intrusion panels, you can copy the configuration of an existing intrusion detection unit to add multiple units.
  • If you change or add new inputs (points) and intrusion detection areas (zones or groups) on the panel later, click Synchronize to update them in Security Center. Then, identify the inputs and outputs .
