You can use the intrusion detection overview, the Maps task, and the Monitoring task in Security Desk to monitor intrusion detection entities that require your attention. For example, an intrusion detection area in an active alarm state or an input pin in a trouble state.

Before you begin

Procedure

To monitor intrusion detection entities on Maps:

  1. Add intrusion detection areas, intrusion detection units, and inputs to your maps.
    For instructions, refer to the following topics in the Security Desk User Guide.
  2. Apply a command to an intrusion detection area, unit, or input: right-click the entity, and then select the required command.
    For a list of commonly-used commands, see Intrusion detection area widget.

To use the Monitoring task to monitor the Bosch Map 5000 intrusion detection entities:

  1. Select the events to monitor.
  2. Add the Map 5000 entities to the event monitoring list.
