The offline grace period ensures that CCURE 9000 events are reported when the plugin temporarily loses connection to the CCURE 9000 system. Events are handled differently depending on how old they are in relation to the grace period.

What you should know

If the plugin loses connection to the CCURE 9000 system, when the plugin reconnects, it synchronizes all CCURE 9000 events.
NOTE: If the configured offline grace period is shorter than the time it takes for the plugin to synchronize on reconnection to the CCURE 9000 system, then all events are flagged as offline events. This means that event-to-actions are not triggered. The events are recorded in the database and are available for reporting.
Grace period
Like an online event, an event that occurs within the grace period:
  • Triggers related event-to-actions.
  • Is listed in the live Monitoring tasks: Maps, Monitoring, Alarm monitoring, and Active Manual Actions.
  • Is recorded in the plugin database for viewing in reports.
Offline period
An event that occurs after the grace period is recorded in the plugin database for viewing in reports.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool homepage, open the Plugins task.
  2. In the Plugins task, select the plugin role from the entity browser, and click the Properties tab.
  3. Change the Grace period. The default value is 30 seconds. When set to 0, the grace period is disabled, and all downloaded events are only stored in the database.
  4. Click Apply.
