To troubleshoot many technical issues, you should first capture a log
trace.
What you should know
- Log traces can fill up disk space quickly.
- Running out of space on your C: drive will cause critical
errors
- Check your disk space and if possible, configure a log folder on a non-critical
drive.
Procedure

From the Server Admin homepage, select your server.

Select .
the Debug consolepage opens.

Click the Trace logger tab.

Create favorites:

Below the loggers list, click
Add ().

In the Name field, enter a name for the trace
logger.

In the Log folder field, enter a filepath to the
folder you want to use.
If you do not define a specific folder, the log traces are saved to
C:\ProgramData\Genetec Security Center
5.x\Logs.

In the Loggers section, click
Add.

In the Search field, enter
Genetec.Plugins.CCURE
-
From the list that opens, select the
Genetec.Plugins.CCure trace logger.
NOTE: The Genetec.Plugins.CCure logger line will
only appear if there is an active plugin role running on the
server.

Below the trace loggers list, select all of the log levels icons. The
icons of selected log levels are colored, while inactive log levels have
gray icons.

Click Add.

Click OK.
Your favorite is created.

From the favorites list, select the favorite you created and click
Start ().

To stop collecting log traces, select the trace logger and click
Pause ().

In File Explorer, navigate to the log folder and zip the log files using 7-Zip
or another third-party compressor.
IMPORTANT: Using the Windows Compressed (zipped) folder solution
fails to zip the log file due to the bullet character in the plugin name.
Ensure that you use a third-party compressor that supports UTF
filenames.
After you finish
Deactivate logging when the logs are no longer necessary.
