To have the latest version of the CCURE 9000 Access Control plugin, you must upgrade all Genetec Inc. software on the CCURE 9000 server. You can upgrade from any earlier version directly to 3.8.0. You must do this task before upgrading the CCURE 9000 Access Control plugin.

Before you begin

  • Read the release notes.
  • Prepare the CCURE 9000 server.
  • Make sure you are running a compatible version of Security Center.
    IMPORTANT: CCURE 9000 Access Control plugin 3.7.0 and newer is incompatible with Software House CCURE 9000 server versions earlier than 2.90. Do not install this version of the plugin if you are using a Software House CCURE 9000 server version 2.80 or earlier.
  • If you upgraded to a new version of Security Center, make sure it is configured and working as expected.
  • Back up the plugin and Directory databases.

What you should know

  • When uninstalling an application, use the Windows Programs and Features control panel (appwiz.cpl).

Procedure

  1. Deactivate the plugin role.
  2. If you have CCURE 9000 Access Control plugin version 3.4 or earlier: Uninstall the Genetec Security Center Plugins - Software House CCURE application.
    NOTE: This step is not required for the CCURE 9000 Access Control plugin 3.5 and later.
  3. If the version of the Security Center SDK running on this CCURE 9000 server is different than your current version of Security Center:
    1. Uninstall the Security Center SDK.
    2. Install the Security Center SDK version that matches your version of Security Center.
  4. Install the Genetec™ Security Center - Software House CCURE 9000 Access Control Proxy Service 3.8.0.
  5. (Optional) Enable transport encryption on the proxy service.
  6. If you use the CCURE 9000 Video Integration, install it now. For instructions, refer to the CCURE Video Integration Plugin Guide .
