To have the latest version of the CCURE 9000 Access Control plugin, you must upgrade all Security Center servers and workstations that you use to monitor and control CCURE 9000 access control entities. You can upgrade from any earlier version directly to 3.8.0.

What you should know

  • The plugin must be upgraded on all Security Center client and server computers.
  • It is not required to uninstall the plugin before upgrading to the new version.
  • To migrate from the Omnicast™ CCURE 9000 Access Control plugin to the Security Center CCURE 9000 Access Control plugin, you must uninstall the Omnicast™ CCURE 9000 Access Controlplugin and then install the Security Center CCURE 9000 Access Control plugin. Your event database will be lost, and you must re-create your configuration in the CCURE 9000 Administration Station.

Procedure

  1. Open Server Admin, and back up the Security Center Directory database.
  2. (If not already done) In Config Tool, back up the plugin role database.
  3. Deactivate the plugin role.
  4. Install the CCURE 9000 Access Control plugin.
When the plugin has finished installation, Security Center restarts.
  5. Once Security Center has restarted, reactivate the CCURE 9000 Access Control plugin role.
  6. On the Resources page, verify that the plugin has come back online.
  7. (If upgrading from version 3.2 or earlier) When the database upgrade is complete, restart the plugin role.
NOTE: Do not perform a synchronization yet.
  8. (Optional) Enable transport encryption on the CCURE 9000 Access Control plugin.
  9. (Optional) In the Database security section of the Resources page, enable the Encrypt communications option.
  10. Verify that the plugin is functional and in a valid state.
