Example 1
Alarm configuration in Config Tool (Recommended configuration):
- Alarm trigger: Active status.
- Acknowledge from Security Center: On.
- Override default alarm acknowledgment: On.
- Command to send: Acknowledge and clear.
- Acknowledge while causes are active: No.
- Clear while causes are active: No.
- Does the alarm have any active causes: Yes.
Alarm configuration in the CCURE 9000 software:
- Allow acknowledge while causes are active: No.
- This event requires clearing: No.
Alarm behavior:
- In Security Center: The alarm cannot be acknowledged.
Example 2
Alarm configuration in Config Tool:
- Alarm trigger: Active status.
- Acknowledge from Security Center: On.
- Override default alarm acknowledgment: Off.
- Command to send: Acknowledge.

Acknowledge while causes are active: Yes.Limitation: Selecting this option in Config Tool overwrites options configured in the CCURE 9000 software.
- Clear while causes are active: Not applicable.
- Does the alarm have any active causes: Yes.
Alarm configuration in the CCURE 9000 software:
- Allow acknowledge while causes are active: Not applicable. This option is overwritten since it is already configured in Config Tool.
- This event requires clearing: Yes.
Alarm behavior:
- In Security Center: The alarm is acknowledged but reappears after the next sync.
- In CCURE application: The alarm is acknowledged but active causes are not cleared.
Example 3
Alarm configuration in Config Tool:
- Alarm trigger: Active status.
- Acknowledge from Security Center: On.
- Override default alarm acknowledgment: Off.
- Command to send: Acknowledge and clear.
- Acknowledge while causes are active: Yes
