Alarm configuration in the CCURE 9000 software.

Example 1

Alarm configuration in Config Tool (Recommended configuration):
  • Alarm trigger: Active status.
  • Acknowledge from Security Center: On.
  • Override default alarm acknowledgment: On.
  • Command to send: Acknowledge and clear.
  • Acknowledge while causes are active: No.
  • Clear while causes are active: No.
  • Does the alarm have any active causes: Yes.
Alarm configuration in the CCURE 9000 software:
  • Allow acknowledge while causes are active: No.
  • This event requires clearing: No.
Alarm behavior:
  • In Security Center: The alarm cannot be acknowledged.

Example 2

Alarm configuration in Config Tool:
  • Alarm trigger: Active status.
  • Acknowledge from Security Center: On.
  • Override default alarm acknowledgment: Off.
  • Command to send: Acknowledge.
  • Acknowledge while causes are active: Yes.
    Limitation: Selecting this option in Config Tool overwrites options configured in the CCURE 9000 software.
  • Clear while causes are active: Not applicable.
  • Does the alarm have any active causes: Yes.
Alarm configuration in the CCURE 9000 software:
  • Allow acknowledge while causes are active: Not applicable. This option is overwritten since it is already configured in Config Tool.
  • This event requires clearing: Yes.
Alarm behavior:
  • In Security Center: The alarm is acknowledged but reappears after the next sync.
  • In CCURE application: The alarm is acknowledged but active causes are not cleared.
