You can view the actions that caused events on doors, inputs, and outputs. You can also cancel an action or trigger a new action.

What you should know

  • A CCURE 9000 event is a software definition that you create in the CCURE 9000 software to link security objects, actions, notifications, and time activations.
  • CCURE 9000 events can be triggered by actions and by state changes, such as door forced open and access request denied.
  • During the plugin synchronization, all CCURE 9000 event definitions are imported as alarm definitions and listed in the Alarms task.
  • When a CCURE 9000 event is triggered, if that event requires an acknowledgment, it is listed as an alarm in Security Center.
  • When a CCURE 9000 event that does not require acknowledgment is triggered, it is listed as an event in Security Center.
  • Actions on entities cause events. If multiple actions are made on an entity, each action is listed in the Causes dialog box. Causes are applied by order of date and priority. So, the active cause is the one that is oldest and has the highest priority.

The following table lists the different states that trigger an event, and the name of the context menu used to open the associated Causes list.

Entity type State Name of contextual menu
Alarm Active Show active causes
Alarm Armed Show armed causes
Door Locked Show locked causes
Input Armed Show armed causes
Output Active Show active causes

Procedure

To view all actions currently applied to an entity:

  1. From any entity pane, right-click an alarm, door, input or output, and select Show causes.
The following screen shows the Causes list for a Device Error Journal Trigger Event. The action with the highest priority is active.

To cancel a cause:

  1. In the Causes dialog box, right-click a cause and select Cancel.

To trigger an action from a Causes list:

  1. In the Causes dialog box, click an action button. For example, in the Armed causes dialog box, click Arm.
Your action is added to the causes list.

To see a list of all active manual actions in the entire system:

  1. From the Security Desk home page, in the Operation section, click the Active manual actions task.

Example

The following image shows an example of the Causes list and the Active Manual Actions list. In this example, the Causes list shows three causes are applied to the entity. The Active Manual Actions report only lists the cause that is currently active. To see if there are other actions waiting to be applied, look at the Count column. In this example, the Count column shows that there are a 3 actions applied.
