To integrate Security Center cameras into the CCURE 9000 system, the CCURE Video Integration plugin must be installed on the CCURE 9000 server and client workstations.

Before you begin

What you should know

IMPORTANT: Installing the CCURE Video Integration plugin on a CCURE 9000 server requires restarting the Tyco CrossFire services during the installation.

Installing this package on CCURE 9000 client workstations will not affect the services, because those reside on the CCURE 9000 server.

Procedure

  1. (Optional) If the CCURE Video Integration plugin is already installed, uninstall it.
NOTE: This stops the Tyco CrossFire services on the CCURE 9000 server.
  2. Download the CCURE Video Integration installation package from the GTAP Product Download page.
  3. Double-click the Genetec Security Center - CCURE Video Integration.exe file, and follow the installation instructions.
IMPORTANT: Just before the installation begins, you are prompted to indicate if your installation is for a redundant setup, you must select the Redundant server installation using supported third party redundancy option and provide the virtual server (alias) name.
  4. If prompted, allow the InstallShield Wizard to create the necessary firewall rules.
  5. Once the InstallShield Wizard is complete, if you have an EMC Autostart or everRun MX Extend system, you should clear the Start Tyco CrossFire services option in the installer.
NOTE: You can leave the option selected if you are installing on a standalone CCURE server, or have an everRun MX High Availability setup.
  6. Click Finish.
In Windows Services, and the CCURE Server Configuration application, the Genetec C.CURE Video Component Service appears.
  7. On the CrossFire server, set the startup type of the CCURE video integration service to Automatic:
    1. In Windows, open the Services application.
    2. Right-click on Genetec C-Cure Video Component Service, and select Properties.
    3. In the General tab of the Properties dialog box, select Automatic from the Startup type list.
    4. Click Apply, and then OK.

After you finish

IMPORTANT: For CCURE systems that are setup for redundancy, you must install the CCURE Video Integration plugin on additional servers:
