After the C-One² mobile reader is configured in Security Center, you must configure the reader to communicate with the Synergis™ Cloud Link unit, using the Mustering application on the reader, so that you can use it as a mustering point during an evacuation.

What you should know

  1. Power on the C-One² mobile reader.
  2. Swipe up to unlock the reader.
  3. Swipe up again to display the applications installed on the reader.
  4. Open Settings, and set up the WiFi or 4G communication.
  5. Open the Mustering application.
  6. In the Mustering application, tap Settings, and configure the following:
Enter the username of the admin user to log on to the Synergis™ Cloud Link unit.
Enter the password for the admin user account.
Enter the IP address of the Synergis™ Cloud Link unit you want the reader to connect to.
NOTE: Make sure you are on the same network as the Synergis™ Cloud Link unit or that the network of your device is routable to the Synergis™ Cloud Link unit.
    Synchronization in seconds
Set the frequency at which reads are sent. The smallest interval is one second.
  7. Tap the back arrow at the bottom of the screen, and then select Readers.
NOTE: If an error message is displayed, the authentication failed, but the message does not describe why. Verify that the settings you entered in the previous step are correct, and try again.
  8. On the Readers page, configure the following:
    Select a channel
Select the channel that you created on the RIO page of your Synergis™ Cloud Link unit in Config Tool.
Select the address that you entered for the interface on the RIO page of your Synergis™ Cloud Link unit in Config Tool.
Enter a name to identify the reader.
  9. Click Add.
The reader is displayed under the Add button. The interface is shown in the top left corner, the reader name is displayed in bold, and the Rx value is a hardware pointer that is automatically incremented.
NOTE: After adding the reader, you cannot edit the reader configuration. You must delete the reader, and then re-create it with the correct configuration.
