Custom reports for plugins are not exporting or emailing automatically
When exporting or emailing a custom report for a plugin using a scheduled task, an event-to-action, or a hot action, there is no output.
The following errors show in the Report Manager log files:
- Error 1: A problem occurred while generating the report
- Error 2: An error occurred while processing new Email report action
Cause
The Report Manager role and the plugin role are on different servers, and the Report Manager cannot render the custom report because the plugin is not installed on the same server.
To be able to email and export the plugin report automatically, the plugin must be installed on the server hosting the Report Manager role.
Workaround
Install the plugin on the server hosting the Report Manager.
