Installation When users installs Security Center the extension is included. User downloads and installs the extension on a preexisting Security Center server.
Panel remote session A panel supports a single remote connection at one time.
Remote connection Security Center remains connected to the panel at all times.

To configure a panel using a remote configuration application, like Remote Link, you must deactivate the intrusion detection unit in Security Center, make your changes, and then disconnect Remote Link and reactivated the unit.

Security Center only connects to the panel when required, and then releases the connection, unless the Integrator or Entré connection is used. When either of these connections are used, you can configure the connection to stay open.

When a remote configuration application, like Remote Link, is connected to the panel, Security Center receives events from the panel, but cannot synchronize with or configure the panel. If Security Center tries to connect to the panel, but cannot, it puts the intrusion detection unit offline (red).

Scalability and performance Supports 10 panels with a combined total of 890 entities per Intrusion Manager role. Supports 300 panels with a combined total of 90,000 entities per Intrusion Manager role.
Modification of input behavior To change the behavior of an input, from the intrusion detection unit's Peripherals tab, disable the Real-time status option, and then change the Contact type.

Fore more information, see How contact types work with DMP.

To change the behavior of an input, configure the input to raise a Trouble event.
