Before you can enroll your DMP Intrusion Panel using the Entré connection, you must configure Entré in DMP Remote Link.

Before you begin

What you should know

  • The DMP Intrusion Panel extension connects to the DMP Intrusion Panel using the command port. By default, the command port is 2022.
  • An enrolled panel uses a random event callback port, which is set on both the panel and during the intrusion panel configuration in Security Center.
  • The DMP panel must be able to receive a TCP connection on port 2022, and must also be able to initiate a connection back to the intrusion manager server on the random event port.
NOTE: If an event port connection from the DMP panel fails, you do not receive events or panel state changes in Security Center. There is also no warning or feedback in Security Center or on the panel.
  • Unless the Always stay connected option is enabled, the panel releases and reconnects over port 2022 as needed . However, if the port is not available when it is needed,to send a command for example, commands might to fail to go through. Using Always stay connected on port 2022 ensures that commands always go through but can prevent RemoteLink and other integrations from using the network command port.
  • If Always stay connected is not used, the panel disconnection and reconnection can generate excessive connection events.
IMPORTANT: It is recommended to use the Integrator Path connection where possible, as the Standard connection configuration can easily be overwritten accidentally using service operations and other integrations.
