Note the following considerations when using digital signatures in Security Center.

Edge playback
Video exports from edge playback are not signed.
Increased CPU usage
The digital signature process increases CPU usage. The CPU load depends on many factors and is difficult to quantify. If the Archiver is running on a machine with limited resources, you might need to reduce the number of cameras or lower the resolution.
Digital signature algorithm
Before Security Center 5.9.1, digital signatures used the RSA algorithm instead of EdDSA. If you use a machine running version 5.9.1 and later to validate video files recorded with the older algorithm, you receive the following message: Valid, with obsolete algorithm.
Archiver role fails
If the Archiver fails, a false positive might be detected for tampering when validating video that was captured at the time of failure. This can also occur when the Archiver becomes unresponsive or closes abruptly, such as from a power outage.
