To ensure that no frames were tampered within a G64x video file, you can validate the digital signature on the file.

What you should know

You can use the following applications to validate the digital signature of a G64x video file:
  • Vault
  • Video File Explorer
  • Genetec Video Player
  • Video File Analyzer

Procedure

To validate the digital signature using the Vault:

  1. Open the Vault.
    A video file listed in the Vault, highlighting the button for Digital signature validation and the column indicating the validation status.
  2. Select the file and click .

To validate the digital signature using the Genetec Video Player:

  1. Open the Genetec Video Player.
  2. Drag the file into the Genetec Video Player.
  3. Click , then Verify digital signature.

To validate the digital signature using the Video File Explorer:

  1. Open the Video File Explorer task.

  2. In the file browser, select the folder where the file is located.
  3. Select the file in the report pane and click Verify digital signature.

To validate the digital signature using the Video File Analyzer:

  1. In the Security Center installation folder, open VideoFileAnalyzer.exe.

  2. Click Add files, select the video file, and click Open.
  3. Select the file from the list and click Validate digital signature.
