To have a unique ID applied to a form, you must add a unique ID field to the template and then customize it in the Field properties dialog box.

Before you begin

Create a form.

Procedure

  1. In the fields toolbar, click the Unique ID () button, then click the area of the form where you would like to add it.
  2. Click the edit () button beside the field.
  3. In the Field properties dialog box, customize the field:
    Name
    Enter a name for the image.
    ID
    The unique ID number of the form. This is applied when the form is saved and cannot be changed.
    Color and border
    Choose colors to fill the field and for the border of the field, as well as the thickness of the border.
    Text
    Select the color of the text, alignment, size, characteristics, and font.
    Searchable
    Select whether forms can be searched for by their unique ID in the Dynamic Log Book report task in Security Desk..
  4. Close the dialog box.
  5. Click Apply.
    Tip: Add a label beside the field to indicate that the field will be populated with a unique ID.
