In the Security Desk Monitoring task, you can view the layout of a video wall, change what to display on a video wall, or configure Alarm monitoring on a video wall.

Video walls have three modes:
  • Default mode
  • Content editing mode
  • Pattern editing mode
NOTE: Video is rendered on the video wall hardware. Security Desk only displays the layout with tiles and source names.

Default mode

When you drag a video wall entity to a tile on the Monitoring task canvas, by default, the video wall shows what is displayed on the physical monitor. You can't modify a video wall in the default mode.

Content editing mode

To add or remove content displayed in each tile of each page of a video wall, you must enter the content editing mode by clicking Take control.

You can start or stop the video wall from cycling through the pages by clicking Enable sequence () or Disable sequence ().

If you want the monitor to display the page you're editing, click Jump to current page ().

For more information, refer to Changing the content displayed on a video wall.

Pattern editing mode

To change the arrangement of the tiles on a video wall, you must enter the pattern editing mode by clicking Edit pattern. You can't remove entities from the tiles in this mode.

For more information, refer to Modifying the tile pattern on a video wall.

Video wall widget

The widget is displayed when the current tile is showing a video wall. You can use this widget to configure Alarm monitoring on a video wall, change the dwell time of a sequence, and determine when the content or a wall layout reverts to normal after an alarm.
The Dwell time is how long the video wall displays a page before switching to the next page when the sequence is enabled.
NOTE: The minimum dwell time is 3 seconds.

For more information, refer to Monitoring alarms on a video wall.
