You can configure what content is displayed on a video wall from the Security Desk Monitoring task. You can either by drag entities onto a video wall layout, and then apply the layout to a video wall, or drag entities onto the video wall itself.

What you should know

  • If a video wall layout has already been applied to a video wall, changes made to the layout aren’t pushed to the video wall.
  • Video isn’t rendered on a video wall in Security Desk, but it is on the monitor. Only the name of the source is displayed in Security Desk.

Procedure

  1. From the Security Desk homepage, open the Monitoring task.
  2. From the entity browser, drag a video wall or a video wall layout to a tile on the canvas.
  3. Click Take control.
  4. From the entity browser, drag an entity, for example, a camera, onto the desired tile in the video wall.

  5. For cameras, you can change the stream type from the list.
    The stream type is set to Low resolution stream by default.
    NOTE: Video walls only support one high-resolution stream at a time. The other streams must be in low resolution.
  6. To remove an entity from the video wall, in the top-right corner of the tile, click .
