The Genetec Clearance™ plugin supports automatic evidence exports based on alarms that are associated with the plugin.
How it works
When an alarm added to the plugin is triggered, video or snapshots from the triggering camera, door, or zone are automatically exported to Clearance and added to a new Clearance case.
Possible plugin configurations
- Alarms that already exist in your system
- Alarms created only to act as triggers for export to Clearance
Best Practice: If you are creating alarms specifically for
automated Clearance exports without assigning any recipients,
activate automatic acknowledgment of the alarm to prevent build-up of active alarms. For
more information, refer to Acknowledging alarms on the TechDoc Hub.
Automatic export-created Clearance case attributes
- Case name:
- The case name is made up of the alarm name and alarm ID.
- Incident start time
- The time at which the automatic export is triggered is used as the incident start time in the corresponding automatically created Clearance case.
- Category
- The category fields of cases created by automatic exports are undefined.
- Default department
- The cases are automatically assigned to your Clearance account's
default department.NOTE: If you do not have a default department defined, then you might not be able to view the cases that the videos or snapshots are exported to.
