In Security Center, Security Desk operators can send snapshots of video frames to Genetec Clearance™.

Before you begin

  • Configure the Genetec Clearance™ plugin role.
  • CAUTION:
    The selected camera must be online and recording at the selected time to send a snapshot. If you are viewing a camera’s live video, the camera must be recording when you click the Send snapshot to Genetec Clearance™ button to send a snapshot.

What you should know

You must have the Send to Genetec Clearance™ privilege to export a snapshot from Security Desk to Genetec Clearance™.

Procedure

  1. In Security Desk, right-click a camera tile and click Send snapshot to Genetec Clearance™.
  2. Do the following:
    1. Enter a name for the snapshot.
    2. (Optional) Enter a description of the snapshot.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Choose from one of the following:
    • Select existing case
    • Create new case
    • Skip and upload snapshot
  5. Click Next.
  6. If you selected Select existing case do the following:
    1. Select the case you want to associate the evidence with and click Next.
    2. Click Finish.
  7. If you selected Create a new case do the following:
    1. Enter a name.
    2. Select a department from the Department drop-down list.
    3. Select a category from the Category drop-down list.
    4. Enter case information in the appropriate fields.
    5. Click Next.
    6. Click Finish to create the case and export the video.
  8. Click Finish.
    The snapshot is queued for upload to Genetec Clearance™.

After you finish

Verify that your snapshot is now available in Genetec Clearance™.
