To enhance security and keep your devices off the internet, you can host them on an isolated network connected to your Genetec Cloudlink 110 appliance.

What you should know

On a single network, network connectivity and device discovery occur on Ethernet port 1. Ethernet port 2 is disabled.

On an isolated network, the appliance connects to the internet on Ethernet port 1 and to devices on Ethernet port 2, acting as a bridge between devices and the internet to better protect sensitive data. To ensure proper network connectivity and device discovery, you must use different subnets for Ethernet ports 1 and 2.

1. On a computer connected to the same subnet, open a web browser and connect to the appliance portal.
   Go to https://<appliance> , where <appliance> is the hostname or IP address of your unit. The default hostname is printed on the unit label beside Nom/Name.

   To retrieve the IP address, use network discovery.

   NOTE: Cloudlink appliances use a self-signed certificate. When connecting to the appliance, your browser might warn you that the connection is unsafe. You can ignore this message and proceed.
   The appliance portal opens.
2. Enter the username admin and your password, and then click Sign in.
   If you’re connecting to the appliance for the first time, the default password is printed on the unit label beside PWD. You’ll be asked to change this password after signing in.
3. In the Settings section on the portal homepage, click the Network tab.
4. In Network settings on the General tab, turn on Connect to isolated network.
5. Provide DHCP or static IP settings for the Ethernet port 2 connection. DHCP settings are automatically applied by clicking Save. Static IP settings must be entered manually.
   IMPORTANT: To ensure proper network connectivity and device discovery, you must use different subnets for Ethernet ports 1 and 2.
