If you lose your password for the Genetec Cloudlink™ 110 appliance, you can reset the password by performing a factory reset using DIP switches.

Before you begin

Make sure you have physical access to the appliance.

What you should know

After a factory reset:
  • The appliance password is reset to the default password printed on the appliance label.
  • Video files and other user data are deleted.
  • System settings are reset to default values.
  • Network settings, including system date and NTP settings, are deleted unless you choose to preserve them.

Procedure

  1. Locate the DIP switches on the appliance.
The DIP switches and command code button on the Genetec Cloudlink 110 appliance.
  2. Set the switches according to the factory reset option you require:
    S1 S2 S3 S4 Command description
ON OFF OFF ON Full factory reset: This option deletes user data and resets system and network settings.
ON OFF ON OFF Partial factory reset: This option deletes user data and resets system settings, but preserves network settings.
  3. Press the command code button for 1 second.
The Information LED () confirms recognition of the code.
    LED name LED color Description
Information () Orange: solid 3 seconds DIP switch code recognized
Red: 3 blinks DIP switch code not recognized
The appliance resets and then reboots.

If the appliance was previously added to Security Center SaaS, it reconnects automatically.

If cameras were previously added to the appliance, they reconnect automatically.

After you finish

  • To prevent an accidental factory reset, restore the DIP switches to: ON, ON, ON, ON.
  • If required, add the appliance to Security Center SaaS.
  • If required, sign in to the appliance with the default password and change it. Document the new password to prevent future access issues.
