To correct a malfunction with your Genetec Cloudlink™ 310 appliance, or to erase appliance data for any other reason, you can perform a factory reset.
Before you begin
- Try to delete and re-add the appliance to correct any malfunction. See Adding Genetec Cloudlink appliances to Security Center SaaS.
- Make sure that you're on the same network as the appliance and can connect to it.
- Make sure that you have the appliance password.
NOTE: If you lose your password and
can't connect to the appliance, perform recovery
steps.
What you should know
In a factory reset:
- The appliance password is reset to the default password printed on the appliance label.
- Video files and other user data are deleted.
- System settings are reset to default values.
- Network settings, including system date and NTP settings, are deleted unless you choose to preserve them.
Procedure
After you finish
- If you performed the factory reset for an RMA, return the appliance.
- If you're keeping the appliance and if required, add it to Security Center SaaS.
- If required, sign in to the appliance with the default password and change it.
