If the authority sending CAD calls to your organization uses the Peregrine CAD system, you must add a Peregrine CAD provider.
Procedure
- From the Providers page, select the CAD ingestion service check box.

From the CAD ingestion service properties section, navigate to the
Provider type menu, and select
Peregrine.
- In the Provider address field, enter the provider address supplied by Peregrine.
- In the Authentication address field, enter the authentication address supplied by Peregrine.
- In the Authentication info field, enter the authentication info supplied by Peregrine.
- In the Provider-specific info field, enter any settings recommended by Peregrine. Usually, the default values are sufficient.
Best Practice: Do not change the remaining values in the CAD ingestion service properties section. -
In the Authentication section, select your authentication
mode.

is the recommended mode for most use cases. - In the Custom events section, define a time period after which a notification is sent if no data is received.

In the Data retention section, determine how long CAD data is
saved for:
- Duration
- Choose to retain data forever, or for a specified number of days.
- Storage
- Choose to store CAD data using a database or with local memory only.
- Keep history
- Choose to retain a history of actions performed on the CAD data.
- Keep closed events
- Choose to retain a record of events occurring in the system related to CAD data.
Best Practice: Use the information populated by default for the remaining fields. - In the Search from section, leave the Prefer field set to Local only unless your organization is using a search API exposed by the CAD provider.
- (Optional) Modify information in the Descriptor fields to customize how CAD data is displayed in Genetec Citigraf™.
- Click Apply.
