Configure authorities to associate the CAD data supplied by providers with specific emergency response and public safety organizations.

What you should know

Authorities are organizations that provide CAD data. The most common types of authority are police and fire departments.

Procedure

  1. In the Authorities section, click Add () and configure the following:
    Short name
    The name used by the organization that is sending the CAD data.
    Role
    The role of the authority providing the CAD data.
    Min priority
    The minimum priority value that the provider organization assigns to incidents in their system.
    Max priority
    The maximum priority value that the provider organization assigns to incidents in their system.
    Category codes
    Add the category code mapping that corresponds to the provider.
    Best Practice: Use the information populated by default for the remaining fields.
  2. Click Apply.
