Before you can view CAD calls in Genetec Citigraf™ that providers have sent to your organization, you must configure a geofence map and a display map.

What you should know

Two maps are required for the Dispatch System Connector plugin:
  • Geofence map: The Record Fusion Service uses this map to determine the correlation area and the districts serviced by your provider organizations.
  • Display map: This map is used as the default display to show CAD Call events and Automation Rules hits.

Procedure

  1. Create a geofence map:
    1. From Config Tool, Create a map.
    2. Draw polygon shapes on your map to create geofences.
    3. From the Identity menu, select Geofence map.
Tip: If your organization has a KML file containing the areas you service, you can import it on the map instead of manually drawing and identifying polygons.
    4. Save the map.
  2. Create a display map:
    1. From Config Tool, Create a map.
      NOTE:
      • This map is used to display entities in Citigraf. It typically contains the cameras and ALPR units.
      • Ensure this map encompasses the area serviced by your organization.
    2. From the System task, navigate to the Map manager page.
    3. Click the Properties tab.
    4. From the Default map menu, select the display map that you created.
NOTE: This map is the default Citigraf investigation map.
