After you have configured a geofence map and a display map to display CAD calls, you must assign the maps to police and fire services.

What you should know

  • Assigning maps to fire and police departments ensures that CAD calls received from such organizations are displayed within the correct jurisdictions. CAD calls for service coming from outside your geofence maps are ignored.
  • Assigning a geofence map to a specific jurisdiction specifies the geographic area for which you want to view the CAD calls for service. If multiple geofences are defined on a map, you can filter the calls per geofence in Genetec Citigraf™.

Procedure

  1. From Config Tool, navigate to the Properties page.
  2. From the General section, configure the following:
    Update frequency
    Define a time interval after which the plugin checks for changes to the maps.
    CAD call timeout (mobile server)
    The amount of time CAD calls stay on the map in the Mobile app after they stop receiving updates.
  3. In the Police section, add the relevant geofence map and display map.
  4. In the Fire section, add the relevant geofence map and display map.
  5. Click Apply.
