As an observer, you can add valuable information to a Genetec Mission Control™ incident by attaching documents, in the form of URL links, which can help the person in charge of resolving the incident.

Before you begin

  • You need the Add attached links privilege to attach a URL link to an incident.
  • You need the Delete attached links privilege to remove an attached document.

What you should know

You do not need to be the incident owner to attach or remove a document, and the incident can be either active or closed.

Procedure

To attach a document to an incident:

  1. In the Incident monitoring task, click the incident you want to work on.
    You can click in the list or on the map.
    The incident details are displayed in the incident details pane.
  2. Scroll to the end of the list and click Documents.
  3. Click Add link () beside Attached links.
    An Add link dialog box opens.
  4. Enter the URL of the document you want to attach, and click Save.
    Make sure the URL is reachable from all workstations.

To remove a document link from an incident:

  1. Beside the document link, click Remove ().
