As an observer, you can add valuable information to a Genetec Mission Control™ incident by attaching documents or URL links to documents, which can help the person in charge of resolving the incident.
Before you begin
- You need the Add attached documents privilege to attach documents to an incident.
- You need the Delete attached documents privilege to remove attached documents.
- You need the Add attached links privilege to attach URL links to an incident.
- You need the Delete attached links privilege to remove links attached to an incident.
What you should know
Procedure
To attach a document to an incident:

Navigate to the Documents widget in the incident details pane
and click the widget heading or the
next to the heading to get an expanded view.
NOTE: You must have the option to display the Documents widget selected. See Personalizing the default incident management options for more details. -
You can either drag and drop files or click Add document (
).
NOTE: When you use the drag and drop option, you can attach multiple files at the same time.
When you click Add document:

The Add document dialog box opens.

You can choose the option to add file from your computer or enter a URL.
NOTE: You can only attach one document or URL at a time.Make sure the URL is reachable from all workstations.
To remove a document or link from an incident:

Beside the document link, click Remove (
).
