You can remove the link between one or multiple incidents if they are no longer valid.

Before you begin

You need the Link incidents privilege to link or unlink related incidents.

What you should know

You do not need to be the incident owner to unlink incidents.

Procedure

To remove the link between two related incidents:

  1. In the Incident monitoring task, click the incident you want to work on.
    You can click in the list or on the map.
    The incident details are displayed in the incident details pane.
  2. In the incident details pane, click Related incidents.
    The related incidents are divided into three groups:
    Incidents at the source
    Incidents that are triggered from the same source as the selected incident.
    Similar incidents
    Incidents that are of the same type as the selected incident.
    Linked incidents
    Incidents that are linked to the selected incident by users.

    You can filter Incidents at the source and Similar incidents to show only incidents from the last Hour, Day, Week, or Month.

  3. At the bottom of the Linked incidents section, click on the incident you want to unlink.
  4. Click Remove the item ().
  5. Click Yes.

To unlink multiple incidents in the Incident monitoring task:

  1. In the Incident monitoring task, select the incidents you want to unlink.
    You can select incidents in the list or on the map.
  2. Right-click one of the selected incidents and select Unlink incidents.

To unlink multiple incidents in the Incident report task:

You must have the Modify reported incidents (Mission Control) privilege.

  1. In Incident report, select the incidents you want to unlink from the list.
  2. Click Unlink incidents.
