Designed to help increase parking enforcement efficiency in cities with narrow streets, Genetec Motoscan™ is a lightweight, low-power, yet fully-featured license plate recognition unit that can be easily mounted on a smaller vehicle such as a scooter or motorcycle.
Equipped with specialized ALPR cameras mounted on a scooter, the Genetec Motoscan™ system automatically scans license plates and sends the information to the parking authority's back-end system, which identifies parking violations and issues tickets, as required.
To avoid distracting the driver, Genetec Motoscan™ features an active manual controller instead of a screen. Located on the steering bar, the controller features toggle switches and LED lights to inform the driver of the functioning state of the system, making it simple and safe to operate.
