When installed on the scooter or carried by the handle, Genetec Motoscan™ has an IP55 rating. The unit can withstand exposure to rain.
WARNING:
- Always secure the USB and Ethernet port connector caps when the connections are not in use.
- Only store the main unit indoors with the unit laying flat, which is its orientation when it is installed on the scooter. Other orientations are not stable and rain or dripping water could infiltrate the case through the air vents or through the main unit cable connection.
Care and cleaning
Main unit: If the main unit becomes dirty during regular use, you can clean the unit using a mild detergent.
WARNING:
- Only clean the main unit with the handle up or laying flat in its installed position with the lid closed and latched. If the main unit is exposed to water when in other orientations, water can infiltrate the case through the air vents.
- Do not use a power washer to clean the main unit.
Camera window: If there is dirt or grease on the camera's window, you can clean it using a mild detergent. Dry the window using a clean microfiber cloth.
WARNING: Never use harsh detergents, abrasives, or other chemicals to clean the
